Integration platform tailored for medical assistance

Thales was previously mandated by the Canadian Space Agency to demonstrate how technology could support decision making for state assessment and management of medical conditions, cognitive impairments and behavioral changes during space exploration missions. Our solution is an integration platform that gathers multiple pieces of technology from various partners of specialized fields that helped design and validate the sensors, AI-driven models, and visualizations used to automatically and continuously detect and manage a plurality of critical medical conditions. This medical decision-support system for deep-space exploration allows for multiple sensors and prediction models to be easily added. It can be deployed on premise, possesses no constraining dependencies and relies on electricity and Bluetooth and/or local network connectivity. Work is currently underway to integrate data management methods to guarantee optimal interoperability as well as secure data storage and sharing capacities. Our sensor-agnostic solution is flexible, easily deployable, and represents a great asset for supporting medical decisions in isolated areas.
