Alberta Health Services - Innovation Evidence Evaluation and Impact details
Health Innovation Evidence Evaluation and Impact Programs
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is Canada’s largest province-wide, fully integrated health system, responsible for delivering services to more than 4.4 million people in Alberta through 5 distinct operational zones. Our highly specialized staff offer Innovation Evidence Evaluation and Impact services (IEEI) to support evidence-informed decision-making using the Innovation Pipeline across the lifespan of innovation and quality improvement projects. The establishment of our Early Innovation Program (ORIENT MAP TEST DRIVE) covers scoping and testing of innovative technologies to address the AHS Quadruple Aim. IEEI has experience engaging clinicians, patients and families in problem/challenge identification and technology assessment and evaluation. We have many assets within AHS such as Virtual Health, eSIM, Human Factors and Connect Care. To support the CSA project, IEEI will work directly with Provincial Population & Public Health, Indigenous Wellness Core and North Zone Operations. IEEI collaborates with these internal colleagues and with our 50+ external ecosystem partners (incubators, accelerators, Academia). This allows us to be the central hub with multiple rural & remote community testing sites and to involve local operational staff. AHS has the unique experience, influence and Alberta assets to be the ideal CSA testing partner, working with remote and disparate areas (North Zone).
