WaterToday.ca provides a daily snapshot of active drinking water and bluegreen algae advisories in Canada, with in-depth articles and interviews of the work of academic and applied research scientists engaged in climate change modeling and all manner of water related subjects globally. As part of this work, WaterToday has accumulated 15 plus years of diverse background knowledge on flood matters in Canada including sea level rise, storm surge inundation, river flooding, overland flooding, combined storm and sewer overflows, floodplain modeling, emergency alerts, satellite technology for hydrological predictions and more. As part of the ongoing work, we continually research advancements in flood mitigation and adaptation systems from around the world. We provide consultation to private businesses and governments advising on various water matters. We are willing to partner with other organizations in the development of national technical standards for flood barrier deployment.
