    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for the removal and replacement of thirteen (13) tub/shower units and thirteen (13) shower units in the housing complexes at Bath Institution.

    Objectives: To renovate all of the current tub/shower rooms and stand-alone shower rooms in the housing complexes at Bath Institution with once piece, fiberglass units, new hardware, and new flooring.

    Deliverables:
    • The Contractor must remove thirteen (13) tub/shower units and thirteen (13) showers, including all surroundings and flooring, and dispose of them off-site as per all current environmental regulations.
    • The Contractor must replace or repair all damaged drywall and sub-floors prior to installation of the new tub/shower units, shower units and flooring.
    • The Contractor must install all appropriate backing to minimize flexing in the new units.
    • The Contractor must install appropriate bracing behind the new shower valves and shower heads to minimize damage caused by high use.
    • The Contractor must install thirteen (13) new, one-piece fiberglass tub/shower units measuring approximately sixty (60) inches long by thirty (30) inches wide by eighty (80) inches high, ensuring all new valve and drain holes correspond to existing plumbing.
    • The Contractor must install thirteen (13) new, one-piece fiberglass shower units measuring approximately thirty-six (36) inches long by thirty (30) inches wide by eighty (80) inches high, ensuring all new valve and drain holes correspond to existing plumbing.
    • The Contractor must install new grey, waterproof, rolled vinyl flooring, with a minimum thickness of 6mm, in all twenty-six (26) tub/shower and/or shower rooms. Flooring must be secured to the wall in order to have a four (4) inch run up the wall from the floor, to ensure a seamless joint at the floor/wall joint, caulking the seam between the flooring and shower or shower/tub unit.
    • The Contractor must install a new fixed time and temperature push button shower valve (with replaceable cartridges), and a wall mounted Zurn Model #Z7000-12 (or equivalent) shower head, in each of the thirteen (13) new shower units.
    • The Contractor must install a 3-piece commercial grade tub and shower package, that includes a Moen Model #T8370CBN (or equivalent) single handle control valve and trim, a Zurn Model #Z7000-12 (or equivalent) shower head and standard tub spout in each of the thirteen (13) new tub/shower units.
    • The Contractor must use bathroom appropriate caulking to ensure all the units are waterproof and will prevent water damage.
    • The Contractor must paint all thirteen (13) tub/shower rooms and thirteen (13) shower rooms with mildew resistant paint (colour to be decided by the Project Authority).

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
