The National Research Council (NRC) Clean Energy Innovation has a requirement for a custom built and tested one (1) Carbon Conversion Product Detection System (CCPDS) comprising of two (2) modules: module one gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and module 2 - liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
The purpose of the CCPDS is to concurrently detect and quantify molecular species in the gas and liquid streams of the separated product from the electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide on the cathode side. The Materials Acceleration Platforms (MAPS) requires this system for the detection of the analytes.
The CCPDS must integrate with an electrolytic cell for automated analysis and be capable of standalone operation. It will enable faster data analysis and help meet project deadlines.
