    Description
    This contract was awarded to:
    Agilent Technologies

The Energy Mining and Environment (EME) Research Center of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) has a
requirement for the supply of an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES). The ICP-OES will
be utilized to quantitate the multi-elemental composition of aqueous solutions as a part of the Critical Battery Materials Initiative (CBMI). The ICP-OES is unique, in that it can accurately determine the concentration of most elements on the
periodic table from liquid solution. In addition, an automated platform allows for the analysis of samples at a rate far
exceeding the capabilities of manual experimentation. Beyond the already planned projects involving this equipment,
the applications of this equipment are broad and can be incorporated into many NRC-Mississauga (NRC-M) projects.
