Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) proceeded to prequalify contractors for the design and construction of a microgrid, as well as the grid reconnection and operations and maintenance, of the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, in Abuja. A second stage RFP was issued to all prequalified contractors.

The outcome of the project is to ensure the long-term resiliency, incorporating solar+battery and diesel generator into a controlled Microgrid the system and to reconnected to the grid to ensure continuous and independent operation at full load at all time, while reducing the High Commission’s operational environmental footprint.

This solicitation canceled and superseded previous solicitation number 25-275024 dated September 25, 2024, with a closing of October 11, 2024, at 14:00 Eastern Time.
