The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for one part-time medical physician, on an as-and-when requested basis.
Work under this contract will require the services of a Contractor who is a Health Services Officer (HSO) to provide expert medical consultations/opinions and recommendations in relation to RCMP members’ fitness for duty of RCMP benefits and services. Also included are health assessments to determine fitness for duty of RCMP members, which includes determinations of suitability to perform maximal exertion to use a firearm and professional driving of emergency vehicles, as well as determination of medical suitability for isolated posting and foreign duties.
It is the RCMP's intention to authorize one contract for a period of one year with two options years of one year each, to the contractor who meets the requirements of the request for proposal. The contract will be for a part-time position (approximately 15-22 hours per week).
To ensure the RCMP’s operational requirements are maintained, delivery of the services will be at the RCMP Occupational Health Unit in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This health facility includes all necessary equipment and supplies.
There is a Security Requirement associated with this Request for Proposal (RFP). An RCMP Enhanced Reliability Top Secret security clearance is required.
Basis of selection:
To be declared responsive, a bid must:
a. comply with all the requirements of the bid solicitation; and
b. meet all mandatory criteria; and
c. score between 0 and 50 points for the technical evaluation criteria which are subject to point rating.
The rating is performed on a scale of 50 points. There is no minimum required.
The selection will be based on the highest responsive combined rating of technical merit and price.
