[Summary]
The Water Survey of Canada (WSC) / Environment and Climate Change Canada - National Hydrological Service (ECCC - NHS) was established in 1908 to provide water level and flow data to all Canadians. WSC is the lead agency responsible for the collection, interpretation and dissemination of standardized water resource data and information in Canada. In partnership with the Provinces, Territories, and other agencies, there are over 400 active gauging stations in the Alberta Hydrometric Network operated under the Canada-Alberta Memorandum of Agreement for Water Quantity Surveys between WSC and Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP).
The objective of this project is to construct a new passenger operated cableway in a timely manner allowing continuous production of discharge data. The construction services are to be carried out in accordance with all applicable guidelines and standards, and result in minimal impact to the environment. The hydrometric station at 05DB006 Clearwater River near Dovercourt is due for infrastructural upgrades. For the continued production of discharge data and operation safety, a new passenger operated cableway is required.
The site is located approximately 16 kilometers south of Rocky Mountain House, AB. The map coordinates are 52.253151°, -114.858131°.
Completion of the scope of work is anticipated within fourteen (14) weeks.
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
