Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service of Canada requires the services of a qualified contractor for: Replacement of all Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and Always On batteries at Millhaven Institution.
The current system batteries have exceeded their life cycle, and this system is critical in maintaining the door and /barrier control as well as the emergency lighting during a power failure.
Objectives: This work will ensure the Always On UPS system will return to normal operation. The contractor must ensure all systems are working and up to CSA/TSSA standards.
Deliverables: The contractor must perform the following:
• Supply and Install of Seventy-Five (75): SLA12-75 or equivalent batteries;
• Supply and Install of One Hundred and Forty (140): S12V285 or equivalent batteries;
• Replace batteries in the following areas: A Unit, T Building, E Unit, J Unit, S Building (Hospital), U building and Y Unit (RTC);
• Ensure all systems are returned to normal operating condition;
• Ensure all removed batteries are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, according to all required regulations;
The contractor must follow all CSA/TSSA standards.
Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
