Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada – CORCAN Ontario Region has a requirement for monthly rental of highway trailers. The work will involve the following.
Objectives:
The Correctional Service of Canada – CORCAN has a requirement for monthly rental of up to 25 Highway Trailers on as “as and when” requested basis for the National Warehouse Distribution Centre, Bath Institution, Collins Bay Institution, Joyceville Institution, Millhaven Institution and Warkworth Institution within the Ontario Region.
Deliverables:
The Contractor must perform the following:
1. Deliver trailers to the destination specified in the contract;
2. Pick-up trailers at time of Standing Offer expiry;
3. On an as and when required basis, provide trailer licensing, permits, or exemptions during the rental periods for each trailer;
4. Full maintenance of the trailer related to normal wear and tear including but not limited to replacement of tire and tire repairs;
5. Supply another licensed trailer of the same type and size to replace a specific trailer when a trailer is taken out of service for repairs for a period
greater than twenty-four (24) hours;
6. Deliver trailers within twenty-four (24) hours from receipt of notification from the Project Authority;
7. Include *unlimited kilometres during the rental periods for each trailer.
Note: *Unlimited kilometres are required as part of the trailer rental, it is not expected that the Contractor will have to haul the trailers regularly, as the
need is mostly for dry storage;
8. Perform annual safety inspections and provide the associated documentation to the Project Authority.

b. Travel
No travel is anticipated for performance of the work under this contract.
Language of Work
The Contractor must perform all work in English.
Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

Duration of Standing Offer and Time Frame for Delivery:
Period of the Standing Offer: the work is to be performed from date of Standing Offer award to January 31, 2025 with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
