This contract will provide technical and analytical support to a multistakeholder engagement process that will be held during the 2023-2024 fiscal year to seek advice from stakeholders and rights holders on Canada’s recommendation to maintain or change the current escapement goals for Skeena and Nass sockeye salmon. The engagement process will include two stakeholder workshop.
For the first workshop, the Contractor will present options for analytical work and seek feedback from workshop participants on the information that will be required to inform decisions on appropriate escapement goals. The analytical work, consisting of agreed-upon extensions to a simulation model that was developed for previous stages of the escapement goal review, will be implemented between the first and the second workshop, which will require the Contractor to run simulations of alternative scenarios. Simulation outputs will be summarized and communicated to workshop participants at the second workshop. The Contractor will develop presentation materials including summary handouts and one or more presentation slide decks.
As part of this work, the Contractor will also be required to complete revisions to the technical
documentation to support the evaluation process, including the CSAS Research Document and
supplementary data report.
The contract will be for a period of 7 month(s), from 2023/08/21 to
2024/03/31.
