Description of the Requirement:
Measurement Canada has already begun transforming its legacy applications and has developed client relations management (CRM) and case management capabilities in Salesforce for its approvals and calibrations business line. It is now turning its focus on delivering end-to-end CRM and case management functionality for the energy business line (electricity and gas inspections). The energy business line (electricity and gas) has also embarked on program transformation changes to its program design as a result of a recent reorganization from a regionally managed business line to a nationally run organization. A key barrier to realizing the modern features above is the need to re-evaluate the underlying business processes around inspections and management. The development of optimized processes will be essential for the configuration of Salesforce for the energy business line. One immediate challenge is to address is data management across business lines and within the energy business line which is heavily dependent on industry data to oversee electricity and gas meter accuracy.
As a foundation, Measurement Canada is seeking a discovery process that establishes optimized business processes for a variety of inspection types, compliance and enforcement activities and program management. To address the data intensive nature of the energy business line, Measurement Canada needs an overarching data strategy, a data architecture and the configuration of a data submission, access, and data management for energy sector oversight.
This RFP also includes scope for future year task authorizations for configuration projects that implement the optimized business processes.
