Public Services & Procurement Canada is delivering a project for Correctional Service Canada (CSC) regarding the construction of a new Spiritual Grounds Building at Grande Cache Institution, located in Grande Cache, Alberta. This project will be delivered via a design-bid-build approach. Grande Cache Institution is a federal minimum/medium security facility located approximately 445km west of Edmonton, Alberta. It opened in 1983 and has a capacity of 243 inmates The new Spiritual Grounds Building will be a new stand-alone structure and will have general office space as well as ceremonial gathering areas. Approximate floor area is 360 square meters. Work for this project will include but is not limited to the following: civil works; concrete foundations and slabs; structural steel; plumbing & HVAC; in-slab heating; new electrical; glazing and translucent panels; resinous flooring; etc.
