PSPC Waste Diversion Program requirement provides a sustainable way to divert departmental surplus office waste from landfills of materials collected from federal government offices in the region. Depending on the state of the goods, this program involves sorting, cleaning, dismantling, and/or repurposing of surplus office materials of decommissioned items that may include, but not be limited to, binders, staplers, writing tools, hanging folders, office chairs, desks, filing cabinets and cubicle partitions. These surplus items are then re-used, sold, donated, recycled, or become waste only as a last resort.
