F1705-250548 - Mt. Helmcken Communication Tower

Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has a requirement for the construction of Mt. Helmcken Communication Tower . The work for this requirement includes the construction of a self-supported tower on a CCG communication site. The work on the site includes, but is not limited to: - Mobilization and Demobilization of all manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources necessary to execute the work; - Localized removal of rock, as required, for installation of tower foundations and site works; - Design, supply and installation of a new 61m self-supported tower and associated concrete foundations; • Includes design, supply and installation of lightning arrestor and associated components; • Includes supply and installation of above and below-grade grounding components; - Design, supply, and installation of waveguide bridge and associated concrete foundations; • Includes supply and installation of above and below-grade grounding components; - Connection of proposed grounding system to existing grounding system; - Removal and disposal of existing 58m guyed tower upon CCG switchover to proposed tower. The work is to be completed on Mt. Helmcken which is a site located approximately 15 kilometres west-south west of Victoria, BC. Site coordinates are approximately 48° 24' 07.78" N, 123° 34' 21.84" W. All design work must be complete and approved prior to March 31, 2026. Completion of tower erection must be achieved no later than August 31, 2026. Completion of all work must be achieved no later than March 31, 2027.
