    Description

    This contract was awarded to:

    Industrial Biodynamics (InBiodyn)
    1.Provide slips, trips and falls simulator units for safely providing slips trips and falls training (i.e. participants practicing how to walk on slippery surfaces while safely strapped to a harness)
    2. Units must be capable of physically simulating various surface deficiencies and obstacles including, but not limited to, ice, rain, obstructions in path, broken sidewalks/curbs/ramps, etc.
    3. Two types of units are required:
    · Three (3) mobile units that must be transportable from site to site by a truck
    · Three (3) fixed units that must be permanently installed in a Canada Post meeting room or within the plant floor
    4. Deliver the three mobile units to the Greater Toronto Area, Pacific region and Quebec region between January 2024 and May 2025.
    5. Deliver and permanently install the three (3) fixed units at a Canada Post facility in Mississauga (Ontario), Montreal (Quebec) and Richmond (British Columbia) between May 2024 and December 2025.
    6. Prepare all units in accordance with Canada Post requirements prior to delivery. This includes but is not limited to having the required signage, labels, documentation, and technical items (spare parts, guarding, slip resistant taping, seating location for observers, etc.).
    7. Deliver the unit to the Canada Post Head Office in Ottawa and participate in a safety evaluation with Canada Post staff to assess the risks associated with all activities around the units (i.e. unit setup, trainers providing training, participants completing the training, etc.)
    8. Train and certify Canada Post trainers to safely prepare for and deliver the training, which includes but is not limited to setting up the units, using any tools required (i.e. ladders if applicable), how to properly strap participants to a harness, delivering the training, etc.)
