Duration: The services are to be performed during the period commencing upon August 1st, 2014 through to and including July 31st, 2015 with the possibility of two 1 year option periods, with the approval of the Minister. Objective: The Institute of Ocean Sciences is a Federal Government Fisheries Research Facility located on Pat Bay. The property has over 300k square feet of building space and The Institute of Ocean Sciences requires carpet cleaning services as described in the attached documentation. A Mandatory Site Visit is to be held on May 29th, 2014 at 1:00pm local time at the Institute of Ocean Sciences, Sidney, BC. Contractors will meet at the front entrance of IOS. Drawings, including square footage measurement, are included in this document package. It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. Your attention is drawn to the fact that all parties working under this contract must provide proof that they have or have applied for security status to the level of “Reliability” effective on the date of closing of this invitation to tender. Compliance with the mandatory security requirements is the sole responsibility of the bidder. The bidder’s “Reliability” status must be granted by Industrial Security Program of Public Works and Government Services Canada. Reliability status is mandatory for Contract Award.
