AWARD NOTICE - ONLINE DELIVERY SERVICES AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOOD CANADA’S REAL-TIME IN-SITU SOIL MONITORING FOR AGRICULTURE (RISMA)NETWORK DATA

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) requires the services of a Contractor to provide a secure web-based platform (based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards), to deliver AAFC’s Real-Time In Situ Soil Monitoring for Agriculture (RISMA) network data. 

This online platform shall be accessible to external users and the general public, where current and daily average atmospheric and soil moisture conditions can be viewed, graphed and downloaded on a near real-time basis. 

The network, named Real-time In-situ Soil Monitoring for Agriculture (RISMA) has provided critical support to multiple operational and research projects both domestically and internationally.  The accessibility and timeliness of data delivery from this in-situ network are important; especially when time-sensitive decisions are required or when operational models require input or verification. 

The services required are detailed in Appendix B.  A contract will be required from the Date of Award until March 31, 2015 with an Option to Extend by an additional one (1) year option period. The estimated value of this RFP is $64,000.00 + GST, allocated for one year including the option to extend.
