Nature of Work: The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), has a requirement for maintenance and high performance coating application on approximately 80 steel navigation buoys annually from the Lower North shore, the North Shore and Gaspésie. These buoys vary in size from 0.6m to 2.9m dia. The process is to be carried out at the contractor’s site. Transportation of the buoys to/from Percé to/from the contractor’s site is to be the responsibility of the contractor. The work involves among other things a thorough cleaning of the buoys, pressure testing, purging of the buoys, checking of accessories, painting of the buoys in a controlled environment in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and written reports. This requirement is from the date of contract award to 30 November 2015 and contains an option to extend the contract by an additional period of one (1) year. Bidders are instructed to consult the tender package for further details and specific requirements. Tender documents must be downloaded from www.buyandsell.gc.ca.
