Description of Work: Work of this Contract generally comprises of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS interior demolitions, lead paint removals, shoring and bracing, historic masonry dismantling, mortar analysis, carpentry infill work, masonry pressure grouting, and installation of micropiles, located at the Sault Ste. Marie Canal Stores Building.

Closing Date and Time: June 3, 2015 at 2 o’clock PM (EDT)

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT 

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Sault Ste.Marie Canal National Historic Site of Canada, 1 Canal Drive Sault Ste.Marie, ON P6A 6W4 on May 7, 2015. The site visit will begin at 10:00 am EDT, in Stores Building. (Attached  - Worksite Location see PH1-C02)

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than May 6, 2015 14:00 PM HAE to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents. 

Delivery Date: The Work must be completed on or before June 30, 2017.
