Invitation to Tender FP802-150038 Restoration of the Exterior of the Puffin Island Lighthouse Tower, Newfoundland Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 9:30am Eastern Daylight Time: Tuesday June 2, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed. Please address the bid to Jianna-Lee Zomer. Make sure any outside envelope (i.e. courier envelopes) are addressed. The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated. The bidder is required to supply with their bid: Bid Security Proof of Insurance Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened. Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time. Nature of the Work: The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for restoration of the exterior of the Puffin Island Light Tower, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. The site is located on the northern shore of Bonavista Bay, Greenspond, and is only accessible by helicopter or boat (although there may be no safe landing location for a boat at this site) Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point: The site is located on the northern shore of Bonavista Bay, Greenspond, and is only accessible by helicopter or boat. A Mandatory Site Visit will be held on May 22 2015 The site visit will occur over a one day period with helicopter flights leaving from Greenspond (flight will return to Greenspond – Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with getting from home base to Greenspond) Specific meeting location will be clarified at the tender stage. The Department will pay for helicopter services associated with the one day visit held during the tender period. Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact the Contracting Authority to obtain further information (Flight Times/schedule) Please Note: - If weather doesn’t permit flying on the scheduled site visit day, it will occur on the following day - A maximum of 1 person per Contractor will be permitted - 2 days advanced noticed is to be given to the Contracting Officer will respect to the company and individuals attending the visit It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. The Bidder’s Representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive. Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
