Title: Cape Pine Light Tower Refurbishment 2015

Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 9:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time: Monday June 01, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

Please address the bid to Beverly Shawana.  Make sure any outside envelope (i.e. courier envelopes) are addressed as per the sample below.

The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.

The bidder is required to supply with their bid:

Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened.  Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.

Nature of the Work:

The work consists of furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for restoration of the interior of the Cape Pine Light Tower, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the contract. 


Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:

The site is located in Cape Pine NL

Mandatory Site Visit 

The site visit will occur over a one day period at the light station in Cape Pine, NL. Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with getting from home base to Cape Pine, NL. Specific meeting location will be clarified during the tender call.   

Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact the Contracting Authority to obtain further information/schedule.


Please Note:
-	If weather is poor on the scheduled site visit day, it will occur on the following day;
-	A maximum of 2 persons per Contractor will be permitted;
-	2 days advanced noticed is to be given to the Contracting Officer will respect to the          company and individuals attending the visit

It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements.  The Bidder’s Representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive.  

Start Date: Upon Contract Award

Completion Date: All work to be completed within 12 weeks from contract award date.

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than May 27, 2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME to the contract authority.  The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date. 

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
