Parks Canada requires a contractor to demolish the existing bridge and construct a new bridge crossing the Blakiston Creek. The project site is located on the access road to the Canyon Youth Camp which is about 3 Km beyond the Crandell Mountain Campground entrance on the Red Rock Pathway in Wateron Lakes National Park, AB. Without limiting the scope of work, major scope items include: demolition and removal of the existing timber bridge; abutment excavation and cast-in-place concrete footings; fabrication, delivery and erection of steel girders and pre-cast concrete deck panels; bridge rail and guardrail installation; and approach road re-grading.
