SCOPE OF WORK This contract covers the implementation of improvements for the grounding and protection system against lightning. This is at three (3) sites under the communication services and maritime traffic of the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG). The sites that are the subject of this mandate are: Sorel (freestanding pylon) Lévis (radar tower) and Île Charron (radar tower). WORK PERFORMED The work varies from different sites depending on the facilities and places earthed present. The work to be completed at each site is stipulated in the plans and specifications provided in Annex D, E and F: Sorel:QE33800-EL-MALT (Annex D) Levis:QE28800-EL-MALT (Annex E) Île Charron:QE36830-EL-MALT (Annex F) All details and technical specifications for the work to be done, the part numbers of the models to provide and install, are provided directly within the plans. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The Contractor or its subcontractor shall demonstrate in his tender, his experience at building grounding work in guyed towers, self-supporting, or similar facilities to those included in this mandate. A minimum of five (5) projects of the same nature must be provided in the submission response. The Contractor shall demonstrate in its bid, those employees who will carry out the work at the various sites, and ensure that they have a current certification on movement and rescue for metal structures. Employee names and a photocopy of their Certificate of Qualification must be provided.
