Wharf Construction Repairs, Cowichan, BC

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Canada, is seeking to engage the services of a construction company for the Wharf Construction Repairs at Cowichan Bay, British Columbia. Cowichan Bay is located on the East side of Vancouver Island, approximately 60 km North of Victoria.  

The overall work, in general, under this contract consists of but will not necessarily be limited to the following:  

•	mobilization and demobilization; 
•	replacement of timber bearing piles with steel telescoping piles; 
•	replacement of select bearing piles;
•	installation of select fender and batter piles;
•	replacement of select sections of caps and subcaps; and 
•	replacement / installation of select corbels .  

All work should include the supply of equipment, labour and materials (except the supplied hardware and timber which will be provided by DFO) necessary for the performance and completion of the work.
