Advance Contract Award Notice – 15-22071 – Magnetometers Expert
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
The purpose of this ACAN is to advertise to the supplier community that the NRC intends to negotiate and issue a service agreement with Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc. Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc is a is highly specialized vendor and an expert in the field of aeromagnetic capabilities.  NRC has carried out decades of long collaborations with Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc/DRDC. Our collaborations included the completion of multiple national and international aeromagnetic projects on the Convair-580. Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc. has an unsurpassed and extensively detailed understanding of the magnetometers (i.e. CAE’s MAD XR, CAE’s ASQ 508, Geometrics’ G824A), associated software (i.e. LabVIEW and CAE’s proprietary magnetic software) and Convair-580 magnetic sensor configuration from decades of collaborations. NRC has multiple aeromagnetic projects with industry (defense and civilian) partners that absolutely require the unique and innate expertise of Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc.  As the unique skills residing in Aeromagnetic Solutions Inc is one of the absolutely necessary components to the use of NRC’s aeromagnetic abilities (this span’s seven decades), this sole-source application is used to disseminate that information to several people at NRC.    

Cost Estimate of the Proposed Contract: $100,000 CAD
Estimated Contract Term:  This posting will serve for the immediate requirement and serve for future contracts until we have reached the $100K limit.

Supplier’s Right to Submit a Statement of Capabilities: Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services described in the ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice.  The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
