Real Property, Safety & Security has a construction requirement for Kitimat River Hatchery’s office area heating systems located in British Columbia.

Nature of Work

The work covered under this project consists of all labour, material, and equipment necessary to complete the mechanical work for the Kitimat River Hatchery’s Office located in British Columbia in strict accordance with Specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the contract.

The work consists of but will is not necessarily limited to the following:

• Demolish glycol heating system and replace with electric heat pump/electric duct heater for office areas and electric heat pump/gas fired furnace for shop area. The office and shop area will each have its own air sourced heat pump.
• Demolish existing heating and cooling coils as noted on drawings. Provide new electric heating coil and allow required sheet metal scope of work to replace existing cooling coil space in the air handing unit.
• Install individual duct heaters for each room and provide a thermostat for each duct heater.

• To service and clean equipment as noted on drawings.
• Rebalance as noted on drawings to specified airflows.
• Demolish and dispose of all equipment, piping and valving attached to the existing steam heater.
• Demolish existing unit heaters serving workshop area and entrance heaters. Provide replacement unit as noted in drawings and specifications. Replace entrance heater as shown on drawings.
• Provide a complete fully tested and operating mechanical system in accordance with all applicable codes.

Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point: Work will be carried out at the Kitimat River Hatchery, British Colombia in the location as shown on the accompanying drawings.

Start Date: Upon contract award

Completion Date: All work to be completed by March 1^st, 2016
