Upper Brewers Lock 43 Masonry Rehabilitation

Description of Work:

Construction contract to rehabilitate the Upper Brewers Lock 43 on the Rideau Canal in Seeleys Bay, Ontario.

The work in general consists of the rehabilitation of all masonry components, including stone replacement, stone repair, repointing and grouting of the canal walls.

See attached drawings and specifications for detailed scope of work.

Closing Date and Time: Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1400 hrs (EST)

Optional Site Visit:

THERE WILL BE AN OPTIONAL SITE VISIT ON: October 22th, 2015 @ 1:00 PM. (EDT)

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the Upper Brewers Lock 43 located at 3000 Brewers Mills Road, Seeleys Bay, ON, K0H 2N0

Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

Delivery Date: The Work must be completed on or before May 7, 2016.
