Title: Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer WHARF AND Breakwater Reconstruction
Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time: December 1, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.

Nature of the Work:
The work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment hardware and materials for “Wharf and Breakwater Reconstruction”. The work consists of the complete removal of existing treated timber structure as per the drawings. This will include the treated timber wheelguard and chocks, treated timber cribwork, rock ballast, timber ladders, all fasteners, holdfasts, navigation light and tower, protective steel corner plates and all items that interfere with the new work.
The work includes; all necessary underwater excavation of material and temporary removal of necessary adjacent breakwater rock materials; Reshape the existing rubble mound breakwater as per the drawings; transportation and proper disposal of un-recyclable treated lumber materials; supply and installation of steel H-piles and miscellaneous steel; supply and installation of new concrete panels, concrete tie-back system and all miscellaneous steel, concrete deck and treated timber wheelguard; supply and installation of granular backfill materials, filter fabric, ladder and holdfasts as per the drawings.
Due to operational constraints at this wharf, DFO will require the contractor complete part of this project no later than April 4, 2016 to provide access to this structure for spring fisheries season in May, 2016. This will allow land based dredging to be carried out from that structure before the May 2016 spring fisheries.
All work shall be conducted with environmental guidelines.

Work will be carried out at structure 301 located at Ste-Marie-sur-Mer, Gloucester County, New Brunswick.

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than November 25, 2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN STANDARD TIME to the contract authority. The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
