Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time: December 3No, 2015 EST for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened. Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.
Nature of the Work:
The work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, insurance and equipment tools supplies for the harbour improvements located at Batchawana, Ontario in strict accordance with Specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the contract.
• The work consists of but is not necessarily limited to the following:
• The supply and installation of new core stone and shore protection stone
• The supply and installation of new gabion baskets
• Dredging of built up sand from launch ramp area
• Minor site improvements
Please note: DFO will be tendering a base bid (gabion baskets, timber decking, rock mattress and armour stone) with options (reinforced concrete deck, precast concrete ramp, geotextile). The tender is awarded based on the base bid. At any time during the project, DFO can decide to exercise any or all of the options, however, DFO are under no obligation to exercise any of them. Please see Batchawana Bid Sheet for breakdown of bid information.
Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:
Work will be carried out at the Government Wharf in Batchawana, ON – North Shore of Lake Superior in the location as shown on the accompanying drawings.

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than November 27, 2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN STANDARD TIME to the contract authority. The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
