1. Title Rental Service for Four 800kW Generators

Rental service for four 800kW generators and accessories for Environment Canada’s Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC) in Dorval.

2. Purpose

Environment Canada’s Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC), located in Dorval, requires a generator rental supplier for the supply and installation of four new redundant emergency generators mounted in groups of two. The current emergency networks power chillers, a UPS and a set of mechanical equipment to keep the data centre in the CMC operational.

3. Statement of Work

The Bidder shall perform the work in accordance with the statement of work found in Annex“A”.

4. Term of Contract

4.1 Contract Period

The initial contract period shall be one (1) year for the first term, from April1, 2016, to March 31, 2017, plus two (2) additional option years.

Delivery and installation of the generators shall take place on March 31, 2016.

4.2 Contract Extension Option

The Contractor grants Environment Canada the irrevocable option to extend the contract term for up to two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each, under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that during the extended period, it shall be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions set out under Basis of Payment.

Environment Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor at least thirty (30) calendar days before the expiration date of the contract. This option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority and shall be confirmed, for administrative purposes only, by way of a contract amendment.
