    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for compost and wet waste removal.

    Objectives: Pick up the organic material from the Recycling Facility at the Springhill Institution on a weekly basis.

    Deliverables: The contractor shall use a vehicle suitable for the removal, transportation and unloading of organic waste and of size that allows unimpeded circulation to and within the institution and equipped with safe means of lifting full CSC owned 64 gallons waste bins. Contractor shall follow good housekeeping practices by picking up spilled organic waste that result from emptying the bins. The Contractor shall perform all work during the regular working hours (0730 hours to 1600 hours) of the regular working days. If work is required outside of regular working hours, alternate pre-approved arrangement can be made to accommodate the contractor.

    Tipping fees to be covered by Correctional Service Canada through direct invoicing from Cumberland Joint Management Services. Contractor’s driver to inform Cumberland Joint Management Services at the time of their scale that the disposal fees are to be invoiced to Facilities Management Department of Springhill Institution. Bins to be weighed by Facilities Management Department prior to loading and weights to be quantified against disposal fees invoiced by Cumberland Joint Management Services.
