    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    Work of this Contract concerning the restoration of the Cap-des-Rosiers beach and the development of a multi-purpose trail at Forillon National Park of Canada include, but is not limited to:

    • The removal of the rubble mount revetment, the dismantling of the infrastructure of an existing road and underground services, and restoration (cut, reprofiling, recharge) of the beach on a length of about 1.5 km;
    • The construction of rubble mount revetment on a length of about 20 m;
    • The displacement and restoration of the Carrick Memorial;
    • The construction of a multi-purpose trail on a length of about 770 m and two rest stops.

    Bid security is required.

    Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage and a Builder’s risk insurance.

    OPTIONAL BIDDERS CONFERENCE CALL

    It is recommended that the bidders attend the conference call at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work required and the existing conditions.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    DURATION OF CONTRACT

    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work from July 7, 2016 to December 2nd, 2016.
