    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has a requirement to have an effective automated system in place to monitor District staff when conducting community visits federally supervised offenders and/or their families, employers, friends and acquaintances. The lone worker monitoring system is required to allow CSC employees to register community visits and safety information including a customized time the system is to respond if staff safety is not verified. The service requires escalating phases of alarm if a community visit is not verified as completed safely within the specified time period.

    Objectives:

    The MB/SK/NW Ontario Parole District requires a Work Alone Protection Service (WAPS) for approximately 100 employees of Correctional Service Canada (CSC) who conduct community visits with federally supervised offenders and/or their families, employers, friends, acquaintances. The WAPS service is required on a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week basis.

    Deliverables:

    • Provide 24 hours per day, 7 days per week lone worker monitoring system to allow CSC employees to register community visits and safety information including a customized time the system is to respond if staff safety is not verified. The service requires escalating phases of alarm if a community visit is not verified as completed safely within the specified time period.
    • The contractor will provide training and instructional materials to CSC employees as required for use of the system.
    • The contractor system will record all system events, contacts, and telephone calls and provide a copy of same upon request from the Project Authority or delegate. Data must be available for period of 5 years after the event.
    • The contractor will provide to CSC system usage reports itemized by employee at a frequency as determined in conjunction with the Project Authority.

    Expected Delivery Date: November 1, 2016 to October 30, 2020.
