Light Station Improvements

WORKSITE LOCATION

St. Jacques Island, St. Jacques, Newfoundland and Labrador

DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK

Work of this Contract comprises general construction renovation of Light Station Assets, located at St. Jacques Island; work, as per the contract documents includes but is not necessarily limited to:

• Replacement of selected wood timbers of the helicopter pad;
• Supply and installation of chain link fencing (approximately 25m);
• Re-painting of exterior for a 30m² Equipment Building;
• Re-shingling of the 30m² Equipment Building;
• Replace a metal door/frame complete with door hardware;
• Replace existing steel plate floor in light tower (lantern room);
• Replace existing steel beam support in light tower (lantern room);
• Weld hatch way door at lantern room;
• Supply and install new metal handrails for light tower stairs/landings;
• Remove existing corroded bolts connecting light tower windows to tower structure and replace with new bolts. May require minor localized paint removal.
• Replace existing light tower door hinges (main door).
• Repair existing concrete floor of light tower.
• Remove and replace selected bolts of light tower panels in various locations – see drawing for details.

EXPECTED START AND COMPLETION DATES

The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon contract award. The expected completion date of this project is September 21, 2016.
