Fishermans Wharf Reconstruction

DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment, and material for wharf repairs at Queen Charlotte City, British Columbia. The work will be completed in accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

The project work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

• Supply and replacement of treated timber piling;
• Supply and replacement of treated timber caps and stringers;
• Repairs to existing piling, decking and other miscellaneous carpentry; and
• Removal and disposal of existing treated timber.

FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

There is no mandatory site visit. Before submitting a bid, bidders may visit the site to obtain all necessary information as to site conditions, means of site access and accommodation, risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this contract on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.

Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 00 20 22 – Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.

Expected Start and Completion Dates

The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon award of the contract. The expected completion date of this project is December 31^st, 2016.
