    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES:

    The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the Upgrades-Renovations to BIO Level 3 CCG Building in Dartmouth, NS.

    The project is to be completed in strict accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

    In general, work under this contract consists of, but will not necessary be limited to, the following:

    1. Demolition of existing partitions, including removal of existing electrical as required.
    2. Construction of new partitions as per drawings. Partitions to be full height for sound attenuation.
    3. Repair / replace ceiling grid associated with partition demolition and construction.
    4. Complete modifications to mechanical and electrical systems to accommodate revised floorplan layout as per drawings.
    5. Demolition of existing kitchenette and installation of new kitchen millwork and all associated mechanical fixtures and plumbing.
    6. Complete rough in for future access control equipment installation (equipment to be installed by others) on four (4) doors in office area. Work includes running conduits to LAN room for access controller.
    7. Painting of all walls in the renovated office space.
    8. Installation of carpet tiling and resilient sheet flooring throughout office space to be installed on top of existing flooring.
    9. Installation and removal of office furniture to be completed by owner. Contractor responsible to complete all power and systems installation for new cubicles installed
    10. Each phase must be fully complete before work on the next phase proceeds.
    11. All work is to be completed during evenings and weekends.

    MANDATORY SITE VISIT:

    Site visit is mandatory before tender closing.

    The site visit will occur over a two (2) days period on Friday, October 28, 2016 and Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact by email the Senior Contracting Officer listed below to confirm attendance and obtain further information regarding meeting location and time. It is mandatory for all bidders wishing to tender on this project to attend the site visit meeting and familiarize themselves with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. The Bidder’s representatives must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive.
