RFSO - Handyperson & Helper Services at the National Gallery of Canada

This is a Request for a Standing Offer Agreement (SOA). The National Gallery of Canada (NGC) requires a Contractor to provide handy person and helper services, on an “as and when” required basis. The Contractor will respond to service calls for minor general work for repairs and/or replacements.

It is important that the successful Contractor understands that a very high degree of quality workmanship and organization skills will be expected from him/her. The selected Contractor must be available and willing to perform work on an “as and when” required basis, as outlined in the Scope of Work (Section C). Some call-ups have short lead time. Normally, NGC will attempt to let the Contractor know at least 48 hours before services are required. 

A Standing Offer Agreement (SOA) is an arrangement to provide goods and services at the prearranged prices with set terms and conditions, for specific periods of time on an “as requested” basis.

1. A Standing Offer is not a contract.
2. An order against a Standing Offer is a “call-up”.
3. Each call-up is a separate contract between the Corporation and the Supplier.
4. A call-up does not involve any negotiations.
