    Description

    This contract was awarded to:

    Hutchinson Environmental Services Ltd.

Eutrophication and resulting harmful and toxic algae blooms have re-emerged as significant threats to the health of the Lake Erie ecosystem, stemming from phosphorus entering Lake Erie from primarily non-point source runoff from agriculture and point source from urban areas and wastewater treatment plants. There is a knowledge gap in the role wetlands and other natural heritage features perform in nutrient retention and management.

Environment Canada has a requirement for a Consultant to assess and quantify the role of watercourses and wetlands in nutrient retention, develop monitoring approaches, and recommend appropriate management practises, as per the Statement of Work ad Annex A in this Request for Proposal document.

The period of the contract is from Contract Award to March 31, 2017.

For services requirements, bidders in receipt of a pension or a lump sum payment must provide the required information as detailed in article 3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation.

There are no security requirements associated with this requirement.
