Requirement:
Parks Canada Agency requires the replacement of the Banff Upper Hot Springs Cistern. The Cistern is a collection system around the source spring for the pools. It requires upgrades and repairs to resolve issues around the spring water loss and component deterioration. Replacement will require: removal of the top concrete slab as per the drawings and specifications, construction of strip footings along the inside base of the existing cistern as per the drawings and specifications and install cast-in-place walls and top slab.
Project Timeline:
The Contractor shall perform and complete all Work by March 31, 2017.
Optional Site Visit
There will be an optional site visit on January 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM (MST). Interested bidders are to meet at the Banff Upper Hot Springs Bathhouse Building located at 1 Mountain Avenue, Banff, AB, T1L1K2.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
