Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) requires a Contractor for daily technical support at the Canadian Air and Precipitation Monitoring Network Goose Bay site in Newfoundland and Labrador herein referred to as the CAPMoN Site.
The primary focus of the CAPMoN Site is the daily collection of precipitation. There is also a requirement for ozone sampling. Environmental data is collected from both automatic and manual samplers. A contractor is required to attend to the CAPMoN Site to retrieve the precipitation samples according to the CAPMoN Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The precipitation samples are then packaged and shipped for analysis to the CAPMoN National Laboratory located in Toronto, Ontario, every week. Other daily tasks include reading and recording values of the various instruments, as well as the replacement of the weekly ozone filter.
