The Discovery Center in Gros Morne National Park was constructed in 1999. There has been very little maintenance done on the building since that time. The work on this project will include repairing or upgrading of several components of the building envelope and mechanical systems including, but not limited to, all windows, wood siding, metal roof, facia, eaves and soffits, sections of the buildings sprinkler system piping, and the air conditioning chiller unit.
The Contractor will be responsible, as per the general conditions as well as the specifications and drawings, for the timely completion of the work associated with this Contract and ensuring the quality of the work of their own forces and all subcontractors. There are key milestone and completion dates that are significant to the Owner and the schedule. Work must be monitored and completed to meet the goals at the milestone and completion dates specified.
A bid security is required.
Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage and a Builder’s risk insurance.
Closing Date and Time: April 11, 2017, 2pm Eastern Daylight Time
Site Visit: There will be a site visit on 23 March at 11am NDT. Interested bidders are to meet at Discovery Centre Gros Morne National Park, NL
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Delivery Date: The Work must be completed March 31, 2018.
