Requirement:
Parks Canada Agency requires the construction of a laminated post clear span, truss pitches roof building within the Operations Compound at Elk Island National Park. The proposed building footprint will be 48’ deep, 100’ long w/16’ side walls and will include four overhead doors.
Project Timeline:
The Contractor shall perform and complete all onsite Work by October 31, 2017.
Optional Site Visit
There will be an optional site visit on May 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM (CST). Interested bidders are to meet at the Elk Island National Park Operations Compound. Directions: The main entrance to the park is located 20 minutes east of Sherwood Park, AB on Highway 16. Enter the main gate on the north side of the highway and proceed approximately 9 km north on the parkway and there is a sign indication "park operations" with a turn off to the left. Take this turn off and proceed another 4 km and take a left at the fork in the road and proceed another 300m until you enter the chain link fenced operations compound. The site meeting will begin in the brown block building in the compound.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
