Scope of Work:

The work covered by this contract is aimed at making modifications to the wall covering of the premises of sector H of the pig farm (building 7) of the Research and Development Center of Sherbrooke located at 2000 Collège Street in Sherbrooke. The plywood walls of the four fattening chambers in the pigsty H area are altered by repeated high pressure washing. The objective is to add a finished plywood of an extruded HDPE coating to the existing plywood walls and to repaint the ceilings with an epoxy paint to facilitate pressure washes and have a better water tightness. Electrical conduits (IPEX) and water (PVC Sch40) may need to be detached from the wall to allow this work.

Site Visit:
It is recommended that firms intending to submit a proposal for this project visit the work site. A site visit will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 1:30 PM local time at the Sherbrooke Research and Development centre located at 2000 rue Collège, Sherbrooke, Qc, J1M 1Z7. Participants to the visit will be requested to sign an attendance form. Participants shall present themselves ten minutes before the visit scheduled start time.

Please note that in order to access the pigsty, the bidder mustn't have been in contact with pigs or have visited a pig farm for

at least 15 days prior to this visit.

Attendance to this visit is NOT MANDATORY but Firms that do not attend will not be given an alternative appointment, although they will not be precluded from submitting an offer. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation and will be posted on BuyandSell.gc.ca

Information requests and inquiries related to this tender process are to be directed, in writing, ONLY to the AAFC Contract Officer identified below. Bidders who contact anyone other than the AAFC Contract Officer to obtain such information during the solicitation period may, for that reason alone, be disqualified.

It is MANDATORY for the Firms intending to submit tenders on this project to obtain the related specifications, plans and drawings, and all other tender documents through the BuyandSell service provider. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the BuyandSell service provider.

AAFC reserves the right to accept any Proposal in whole or in part, without prior negotiation and reject any or all Proposals

received.
