Sir Frederick Banting (SFB) Building Fit-Up Project H-089620

Background:

Sir Frederick Banting Building is occupied by Health Canada and was constructed in 1978. The building is a low-rise office/laboratory facility divided into three (3) blocks consisting of two (2) four (4) storey sections connected in the middle by two (2) storey communal area. E Wing is located in the west part of the building and consists of four (4) floors. Currently the west floors of E Wing are unoccupied; however, office furniture is still present on site. B Wing is located in the centre of the building and consists of three (3) floors. 3^rd floor of B Wing is currently occupied by Health Canada personnel which will be relocated prior to the construction start date.

Scope:

The objective of this requirement is to hire a General Contractor for completion of the required work in accordance with the 100% stamped architectural drawings and specification package. The Architectural Consultant firm will provide oversight during the construction phases to ensure the work is completed in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Security Requirement:

The Contractor personnel requiring access to PROTECTED information, assets or sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted or approved by Health Canada/PHAC or the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)
