Canada is examining potential contributions to future international space exploration missions. Among the areas under consideration are telecommunications technologies. Deep-space exploration poses a new set of challenges to traditional telecommunications technologies. The objective of this project is to analyze and assess the potential return on investment (ROI) of next generation telecommunications technologies (optical and radio frequency) for deep-space exploration, including commercial space and terrestrial applications.

This requirement is open only to those Supply Arrangement Holders under E60ZT-16TSPS who qualified under Tier 1 for the following categories:
