    Description of Work:

    This project entails the reconstruction of Bobs Lake Dam located near the hamlet of Bolingbroke approximately 30 km west of the Town of Perth Ontario. The construction work includes: construction of a new access road; design and installation of coffer dams, diversion and dewatering systems; development and implementation of environment protection plans; major grouting works; construction of a new dam; stream bed rehabilitation between the new and old dam; and old dam demolition.

    Mandatory Criteria:

    Bidders must demonstrate with their bid that they meet the mandatory requirements. Refer to Appendix 3 for details.

    Mandatory Site Visit:

    The bidders must attend the site visit at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work required and the existing conditions. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites.

    There will be a mandatory site visit on March 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm (EDT).

    Interested bidders must refer the meeting assembly area specified in section IS03 of the Invitation to Tender Document for details.

    Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one open day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance at sylvie.lagace@pc.gc.ca.

    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the Bidder must sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected.

    Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site and their proposals. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders .

    Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

    Delivery Date:

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work from the contract award to September 15, 2019. The construction Milestone start date is June 1st, 2018.
