System/Software Deployment Services

NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT

The Department of National Defence has a requirement for System Software services to assist the DLCSPM Software Engineering Facility (DSEF) with migrating from a single TomCat server to a distributed web services architecture using WAS. The work will involve the following:

1. Provide on-site consultation on architectural changes required to migrate from the existing Jazz single server environment to a WAS multi-server environment within the Software Test and Integration Lab (TIL), followed by the roll out of that configuration to the production environment;
2. Prepare deployment material, specifically the Distributed Topology Architecture design document depicting the architectural changes involved in migrating from the existing Jazz single server topology to the new multi-tiered architecture;
3. Provide on-site deployment support throughout the rollout to the production environment.

For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.

The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
