1.0 Scope

1.1 Title

Environmental Health Centre (EHC) Roof Replacement - Construction Project

 1.2 Introduction

 To provide labour, material and equipment to undertake the work as defined in the Plans and Specification for the lower section of the roof on the Health Canada, EHC facility, Tunney’s Pasture.

 1.3 Objectives of the Requirement

 The objective of this contract is to provide all the labour, material and equipment required to perform work for the replacement of the lower section of the roof of the EHC facility and as depicted in the Specification Documents. This work will ensure the continued integrity of the roof against infiltration of water and moisture.

 The area of work has been defined in the attached Specifications Document.

1.4 Background, Assumptions and Specific Scope of the Requirement

There are several water leaks coming from the 3rd floor roof. The leaks appear to be coming from the roof drains but could be coming from elsewhere. There have been no EHC roof repairs for at least a minimum of 27 years.

The construction phase of this project must be finalized by October 1^st 2018. The Contractor will take into account the fact the facility will be continuously occupied during construction work.
